In a light, laid-back style, this tour will take you through some of the crazy history, stories and recent developments of the historic heart of Rio, Centro, whilst taking time to stop for some delicious food along the way.
Explore Rio’s Rich History and Culinary Treasures
During this 4 hour walking tour, you’ll explore Rio’s historic city centre enjoying engaging story-telling of Rio’s past and present, while indulging in some delicious food stops along the way. Guests will also receive recommendations for the best spots to eat, snack, and drink.
The tour takes you through fascinating areas like Centro, SAARA, and Little Africa, uncovering the stories behind the city’s architecture, street art, Olympic legacy, gentrification trends, and culinary heritage (with the chance of sampling some of it during the tour’s snacking stops).
This tour can also be adapted to a tailor-made tour to include for example a mixture of: Tasting some of the food and drinks delights of Rio followed by some hiking in the amazing Tijuca forest National Park OR exploring some other historic and cultural areas of Rio such as Laranjeiras, Flamengo, Santa Teresa, Botafogo, Copacabana, Ipanema or Urca (additional taxi/transport fares may apply).
