A MASSIVE leaf
It’s at times like these that my wife gives a long-suffering sigh and shakes her head as if to say “How did I get mixed up with this strange guy?”. Well I’m sorry, but I had to show you this massive leaf! Amazing isn’t it? These things are littered all over the place and even after 2 years in Brazil, they still amaze and delight me.

I did once find out the name of these trees, but it escapes me now. Still, who needs names when you’ve got a photo of a truly impressive leaf? Right? Who’s with me?
If you’re lucky I’ll make this into a series (“Massive leaves of Rio”) as there actually are several other huge leaves that I want you guys to see (not even joking…).

Finally something that looks like the famous fig leaf that will actually be an appropriate size for me. I always knew Rio was the perfect place for me.

That was DEFINITELY worth taking a picture of! Is that your wife who is strategically with her head positioned outside the picture frame, as if to say “I don’t want my face to be associated with this crazy guy and this giant leaf”?
