Split sky

Tidying up and moving…

Hi everyone!

Just a quick post today as we had a party last night and I’ve been clearing up and cleaning the house all day. Here is a photo taken from our balcony yesterday as we were preparing for the party – dramatic right?

Split sky

The rain and clouds were moving away, to the right. Does the rainbow (on the left) look a bit fake? I promise it isn’t! We hoped it would be a good omen that the storm clouds were leaving us in time for the party, but unfortunately there was plenty more rain to come. Luckily the birthday girl got so drunk she didn’t notice!

I’m planning to switch over to the WordPress blogging platform in the next few days so there may be a little interruption to the normal service. Once I’ve got it working I’ll let you know and hopefully you’ll like what you see! Until then, tchau…

So here we are! WordPress! Exciting isn’t it? As I’m sure you’ll notice, there are quite a few things I need to change, fix or add. I’ll be making plenty of changes over the next few weeks so I hope you’ll keep coming back to see what’s going on. The main thing to remember is that all new posts will be happening here at eatrio.net because eatrio.blogspot.com has retired.

Yay! My first comment! (I’ve been glaring at the screen and hitting F5 a lot…).

Thanks Shayna. I played around with a couple of other themes first and they really confused me! Graphene seems a bit more straightforward and appears to have really good support. Glad you like it! :)

    Congrats on the move.
It seems I am the first one to leave a comment in this new venue, if this entails a prize I do accept cash, not checks though. Respect points are okay but I hope they can be traded in for some kind of snack, like bolinhos de bacalhau.

Ooh Gritty! You missed it by a cat’s whisker! (a 15 minute cat’s whisker). Just think, all those Eat Rio(.NET!) respect points that could have been yours…

Nice move.. Also love the way how posts can be filtered using various categories like “where to stay” and “food and drink”. Congrats
