Samba is not some stuffy old dance from the past – samba is alive and kicking and as popular with people (of all ages) today as it ever was. You don’t have to have lessons – no one is going to be mean or expel you from the dancefloor for not doing it right. But this samba class is a really fun way to learn about the music, the rhythm and the dance steps, so that when you get to the samba club later on, you’ll feel like you know what you’re doing.
You’ll start the evening with the samba class in a professional dance studio. The friendly instructor will show you the moves and you’ll practice with fellow beginners. It’s fun, and it’s a great activity for anyone looking for a ready-made social group for a night out.
The lesson lasts an hour, after which you’ll head with the group and the instructor to a samba club for live music and dancing – transport and entrance to the club are included.
